The Half Hexagon Body Rivet Nut is a threaded blind insert with a partially hexagonal shank. When seated into a matching pre-drilled hole, the hexagonal profile mechanically prevents the insert from rotating during bolt tightening or under vibration — making it the preferred choice over round-body rivet nuts wherever spin-out is a concern.
Available at Excel Trading Corporation, Bengaluru in Mild Steel (MS) and Stainless Steel (SS-304 / SS-316), with Open End and Closed End options, and Large Flange or Reduced Head configurations — supplied as per Specification.
The open end style has a fully open threaded bore, allowing the bolt or stud to pass completely through the insert with no depth restriction. Screw engagement length can be freely varied. This is the standard choice for general fabrication, automotive assemblies, and structural work.
The closed end style has a sealed base that blocks fluids, gases, dust, and contaminants from passing through the hole. Essential for waterproofing, outdoor installations, food processing equipment, and any application where ingress through the fastening hole must be prevented.
The large flange spreads the clamp load over a wider surface area, reinforcing the hole and significantly improving pull-through resistance. Ideal for thin sheet materials and load-bearing applications where pull-out strength is critical.
